Second year

Ecological activities

Submitted by Bc. Pavlína Palarczyková on Mon, 27/03/2006 - 13:44.

This is the first topic of our project in the school year 2005/2006.

We are the group of pupils from the 9.A class and we tried to  deal with the main ecological problems. We used for this our knowledge from other subjects, for example Physics, Chemistry and Ecological Biology. We were also searching on the Internet.

Little car, stop!

Submitted by Bc. Pavlína Palarczyková on Mon, 30/10/2006 - 21:40.
„This game is for at least 5 players. One person chases the others. When touches someone, this player mustn’t move. They all stand still until any of the players frees him/her by creeping under his/her knees“.

Blind man’s buff

Submitted by Bc. Pavlína Palarczyková on Thu, 26/10/2006 - 16:56.
„One person must be blindfold with a scarf. Other players turn him round and he must catch someone and call his name“.

Man-hunt

Submitted by Bc. Pavlína Palarczyková on Thu, 26/10/2006 - 16:49.
„This game is for 3 or more players. In the beginning we find a suitable place where a chosen player counts from 1 to 15. When counting is finished, he starts the hunting game. He must touch someone (tag a player). Now the person being touched is „it“. These roles can change so long as you like it“.

Introduction – Children’s games

Submitted by Bc. Pavlína Palarczyková on Thu, 26/10/2006 - 15:52.
When a word „GAME“ is pronounced, many people might imagine a traditional children’s game, like for example  hop the hop scotch, building the  sand castles, hide-and-seek games, playing football, riding the scooter or bicycle, colouring books, throwing the darts, etc.

What is a children’s game?

Submitted by Bc. Pavlína Palarczyková on Mon, 23/10/2006 - 20:39.

(taken from encyclopedia):

...An amusement  or a pastime  involving more than one child and in which there is some sort of  contest, or plot. Because the rules vary from place to place, comparable game types are often difficult to identify precisely. In many—if not all—cultures, child’s play provides a training ground where the child learns skills useful to him in later life. Games reflect the social, economic, religious, and artistic life of the culture from which they develop and have, themselves, become an intrinsic part of human existence...

The way we celebrate Christmas

Submitted by Mgr. Zbyněk Šostý on Tue, 06/06/2006 - 09:32.
 Christmas4
Advent this year began on 27th November. On 6th December we celebrated the St. Mikolas Day, my mother started to bake the Christmas sweets.

Me and my father went for a tree- a fir, 2,5 metres high. One week later, the Christmas sweets were ready. On the 20th December we went to buy a carp. My mother makes the potato salad. On the 23th December we killed the carp, we put the tree into the stand and decorated it with the electic bulbs and with many other red decorations.

Fairy tales

Submitted by Mgr. Zbyněk Šostý on Mon, 05/06/2006 - 10:57.

„According to my opinion fairy tales represent a lot of things. They are important mainly for children. Fairy tales are beautiful and instructive. The nice ones will always win in the end. I think fairy-tales should be watched by little children, adults, the old as well as the young. Fairy-tales are fascinating for people of each age.“

The Devil

Fairy tales9

Fairy tales12
„These are my little devils. Devils are bad and ugly. Some of them can be good and nice, but mostly they aren’t much pleasant. Adults rather don’t believe in devils. The devil is ugly, big, fairy and bad. He sits on his infernal throne in fire. He wears a long red coat which reaches to his knees. Each devil has got from 2 to 3 teeth in average. Here we have the devil with the record-number of teeth.“

What is a fairy tale?

Fairy tales15
Fairy tale is a genre of the folk literature with mythical plot and with a hero. In fairy tales the good conquers the evil. Fairy tales can be magical with the fairies. In the animal fairy tales the animals are the heroes. In legendary fairy tales we can find the biblical beings. We distinguish also the artificial fairy tales showing the way of life of the man from this era.

Czech Christmas

Submitted by Anonymous on Fri, 02/06/2006 - 11:23.

December 24th is Adam and Eva’s name day. Christmas Eve is associated with many superstitions. There is a Czech Christmas custom: If you don’t eat all day, you will see the „golden pig“ in the evening. The person who doesn’t give anybody a present, will be met with poverty. If a woman is pregnant, she will know if she is carrying a boy or a girl, according to the first person who enters the house on the Christmas Eve. If the visitor is male, she will have a son.
