The participants had the wonderful opportunity to talk about the project’s benefits for both pupils and schools. They discussed the problems they had to deal with during the first school year. While we were walking through the Spanish school we were nicely surprised with the pupils‘ knowledge of the Czech Republic! They knew Praha, Karlštejn, Dvořák, Vltava, Labe, Beskydy, Morava, Ostrava… these words they frequently used in their presentations. We were also told that these presentations were made by pupils during the whole school year in the project lessons.

It was very interesting to talk about the integrated teaching within the subject „practical activities“, which contained, in our view, a part of subject curriculum of Physics, Computer Studies, and Technical Science.

At the official meeting with the mayor and the town representatives of the Hoyo de Manzanares we informed the parents as well the school inspector about the importance of the common European project.

The big contribution for all the participiants was the information about differences in school systems, in the ways of financing, differences in the educational plans creation, in cooperation with local authorities and parents, etc.

In the frame of a separate meeting with parents the representatives of the schools from various countries were asked for example about the way of the attendance organization, about the parents‘ possibilities to influence the school course and educational program at school, and if they can deal with the children’s free time activities.

The organizers prepared also an educational program for us, we learnt a bit about the history of Spain and its traditions. We visited the royal residency in Escorial, we had an opportunity to see the remarkable sightseeings in historical parts of Madrid and Toledo.

And it is exactly Toledo which is by Spaniards considered to be the quiet centre of symbiosis of many cultures and faiths.

In all coordinating schools the pupils‘ highest interest was seen in their mutual contacts, so that was the reason why all the coordinators agreed on increasing the number of pupils paricipating in the project. We will try to involve more groups of pupils from the whole school for the project work. Our school will help pupils to gain new e-mail contacts from their friends from the partner schools. As English is the communication language, they will be able to prove their knowledge.

It will be also important to remake our internet magazine version. We would like to have a wider extent version till it was up to now. Our web pages will contain all activities connected with the project work and a special item will be a reference to „school magazine on- line“ which should contain the best and the most important events concerning the agreed topics. The leaders of the groups together with the pupils themselves will participate in the creation of the web sites.
